KidSide helps children from low-income families, who are in crisis due to high-conflict Family Court cases, receive critical protection, advocacy, and the ability to heal.

By providing essential funding to Family Court Services we allow them to deliver critical assistance, counseling and other resources that bridge gaps in the system to protect children involved in antagonistic cases like high conflict divorce, and domestic abuse. Without these services, many kids from low-income families would fall through cracks in the underfunded judicial system causing profound consequences in their lives and communities.

How KidSide Helps Family Court Services

KidSide is hopeful to be able to raise enough funds to eliminate a waiting list for children to see their parents during a contentious separation. All children, no matter what their family financial situation may be, should be able to stay connected to their parents when they need them the most.

I would like to thank Family Court Services for assisting with reunifying me with my 4 year old son. Prior to supervised visitation, I did not see or have any contact with my son for about a year. I missed him so much – the emptiness that I felt is not something that any parent should ever experience. However, the court referred me to Family Court Services and without any fee or waitlist, I can see my son once a week for an hour. During our visits, we take quality time counting, naming animals, identifying colors and shapes, and many more. When I get on the zoom and see his beautiful face on the other side of that camera, my world brightens up and for that one hour in the day, no one exists but him. Once again, thank you Family Court Services and to my assigned Specialist for all her hard work.
-Brian, 33 years old

Testimonials, such as Brian’s, will allow countless others to see how KidSide and Family Court Services make a difference in the lives of children and parents during the most difficult and emotional time a family can experience.
