Executive Director

KidSide is a non-profit organization dedicated to our mission of helping children and families in need receive court-ordered life-changing interventions and support services. A lack of funds should not prevent a family’s access to mental health services they desperately need to heal. We are a hard-working volunteer team that is passionate and mission-driven. KidSide seeks an Executive Director to lead our networking and fundraising efforts. As the Executive Director, you will be pivotal in securing the financial resources necessary to support our mission and initiatives. You will be responsible for leading our volunteers to execute our fundraising strategy, cultivating donor relationships, and overseeing the execution of all fundraising activities.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Fundraising Strategy: Continue and expand a strategic fundraising plan aligned with the organization’s mission and supported by volunteer leaders
  • Donor Cultivation: Identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with individual donors, major donors, foundations, corporations, and government agencies to secure financial support
  • Major Gifts: Lead major gift initiatives, including prospect research, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of high-net-worth individuals and foundations
  • Corporate Partnerships: Identify and pursue strategic partnerships with corporations and businesses that align with KidSide’s mission and values
  • Team Management: Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to the paid and volunteer team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance
  • Provider Oversight: Negotiate provider contracts and set goals in line with Family Court Services’ needs. Work with providers to ensure the goals are accomplished

Additional Responsibilities

  • Gift Tracking and Database: Design and implement a gift and donor tracking system utilizing the CRM system Bloomerang
  • Donor Communications: Develop and implement effective donor communication strategies, including donor appeals, acknowledgment letters, impact reports, and other relevant materials
  • Board Engagement: Collaborate with the board of directors, providing guidance on fundraising strategies, donor cultivation, and stewardship
  • Budgeting and Reporting: Work with the KidSide Treasurer to develop and manage the budget, track fundraising metrics, and provide regular reports to the executive team and board of directors
  • Fundraising Events: Plan and execute fundraising events, including donor cultivation events, and community engagement activities
  • Community Partnerships: Connect and build a rapport with various community organizations that align with KidSide’s mission

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required. A focus in a relevant field is a plus (e.g., nonprofit management, business administration, children/court services)
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing fundraising initiatives in the nonprofit sector, with a focus on major gifts
  • Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, best practices, and ethical standards, including experience with various fundraising strategies, techniques, and platforms
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively engage and inspire a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with donors, board members, and external partners
  • Strategic thinker who can develop and execute innovative fundraising strategies that align with organizational goals
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Leadership experience, including volunteer management, coaching, and fostering a collaborative work environment

Salary Range: $60,000 – $80,000
